Rima earned a master’s degree
in community and regional planning from the
University
of
British Columbia
in 1998. She has 13 years of experience primarily in the public and
non-profit sectors doing research, project management, and policy/program
development in the areas of affordable housing, poverty and public involvement.
Other professional
endeavors have included teaching English in
Japan
and working as a researcher for National Geographic Magazine and for the
Museum
of
Anthropology
in
Vancouver
,
BC
